Hey Kids! Camp Beringia is back!

Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre is excited to announce our new 2-day camps for kids!

Camp Beringia

Ages 7-11 - 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

July 10/11 - Batty about Beringia

Holy Toledo Batman! These young Beringian Campers will be charging up their Bat-tery packs, with knowledge and fun about bats. There will be a live Bat appearance. Campers will bone up on their dig skills, fossil making skills, and echo-location skills.. 

July 24/25 - Mammoth For Dinner!

How people lived from the land 10,000 years before pizza

August 7/8 - Beasts of Beringia

Come learn about the animals who stomped, swam, crawled flew and slithered around Beringia during the last ice age.

Each camp will run from 9:00 am - 4:00pm, cost is $60.00/child for the 2-day camp. Please bring lunch, snacks and suitable clothing for the outdoors.

Ages 3-6 - 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

July 17/18 - Indiana Jones & the Temple of Beringia

Come explore the prehistoric world of giant animals and the First People. Dig up bones of ice age animals, play games and do fun crafts.

July 31/Aug. 01 - Got Mammoth Milk? What life was REALLY like for kid mammoths

Featuring a toddler tea party, this camp will explore what life is like for kid-mammoths. When wooly mammoths are your child’s age, they are still weaning, and in constant danger of becoming cat food. So they rarely venture far from Mommy. As your little ones will find out at this camp though, life away from mom and dad can be both scary …and exciting!

August 14/15 - Mammoth Hunt/Short-Faced Teddy Bear Picnic

We're going on a Mammoth Hunt. We're gonna catch a big one!  Then join us on our Short Faced Teddy Bear Picnic!. Bring your teddy to a morning of crafts and activities.

 

The Jr. Camp Beringia is for the younger kids who want to experience Beringia. These half-day camps run two-days from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Cost is $30/child for the two-day camp.
