Favorite Ice Age animal: people
Liz has been working as a professional archaeologist in western and northern Canada for over 20 years. Her focus has been the reconstruction of past environments and stone tool technology. People are her favorite Ice Age animal, because, even though they are hairless and clawless, they still managed to survive and thrive the challenges of life in Beringia. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of how they accomplished that with guests at the Beringia Centre, as well as making pottery, since she figured out a long time ago that it results in a lot fewer knicks and cuts than making stone tools.
