Favorite ice age animal: Giant Beaver
Shannon is a born and raised Yukoner with a passion for the environment. She recently completed a Bachelor of Science Degree with the University of Alberta in Northern Environmental Conservation Sciences, and she is always passionate about experiencing and learning new things.
She spent two summer seasons working with Yukon Parks as a Park Interpreter for Tombstone Territorial Park, and thoroughly enjoys exploring all that the natural world has to offer. She has been a part of many environmental studies in the Yukon, including the banding and tagging of many different wildlife species for environmental monitoring including: Chinook Salmon, Little Brown Bats, Peregrine Falcons, Boreal Owls, American Kestrels, and Black Guillemots.
