In honour of the Yukon Quest, February will be Canine-Companion Month at the Beringia Centre, and to launch things off, we will be showing the spectacular movie – Alpha. Set during the Ice Age, this movie attempts to show the possible beginnings of a most unlikely love story – between human and dog –that continues to this day. Witness that first magical encounter (as this movie portrays it), and view all the gory details. Was it love at first sight, or something …more suspenseful?
Renowned Palaeontologist (and Yukon’s very own) Dr. Grant Zazula acted as Palaeontology Content Advisor for this Hollywood production. He will be here for the screening, and will provide a brief Q and A session after the movie, and who knows – he may even sign autograph or two. Come on Grant –you’re famous!
Film is rated PG-13. Regular admission applies. Limited seating.
Doors Open at 12 PM with activities for kids
Film starts at 1:30 PM
Q&A Session 3 PM
