Growing Rocks!
It’s craft day at Beringia Centre, and this Sunday we will be throwing a bit of science into the mix. Our resident rock expert – Pia – will be showing you how to grow rocks. You heard right, rocks! But, you don’t need a green thumb for this one – just an inquisitive mind and a whole lot of patience … Hey, full-grown plants don’t just appear overnight do they? So, come get the ingredients for an experiment you can take home and see morph over time. Besides showing you how crystals form, Pia will also demonstrate – craft-style – how fossils turn into rock!
Pia will start at 1 PM and it will run for about 1 – 1.5 hours. Regular admission applies.
