Ask a Conservator: Your Questions Answered - With Yukon Museums Conservator Valery Monahan

Every year on November 4th, conservators worldwide participate in #AskAConservator day. The idea is simple: you ask a question about conservation and a conservator answers.

Maybe you're curious if mothballs actually work, or maybe you're wondering how ice age mummies like Zhùr were conserved before going on display? All these questions and more will be answered during this special edition Beringia Centre Science Talk (#BCST)!

To answer your questions, we'll be joined by Yukon Museums Conservator, Valery Monahan. In addition to the Q&A, Valery will also present on some of the exciting conservation projects she has worked on. Not only has her work included objects from numerous museums, but it has also included items from the Yukon archaeology and palaeontology collections.

You don’t want to miss this special behind the scenes BCST!

Join us LIVE on Facebook on Friday November 4 @ 11 am PST to learn more about these techniques and the findings from his research project. Click here to go to the Facebook event.
