Experimental Investigations of Beringian Hunting Toolkits - With Dr. Joshua J. Lynch

Are you curious about archaeology, natural science, or palaeontology? You’re in luck! Beringia Centre Science Talks (#BCST) are back for a 4th season.

This week we'll be speaking with Dr. Joshua J. Lynch from Arkansas Tech University about his unique research on Beringian hunting tools. To better understand projectile point variability in Beringia, Dr. Lynch and his team used experimental archaeology, use-wear analysis, and actualistic testing. Understanding the functions of hunting tools found at archaeological sites can inform the lifeways and decision-making processes of Ice Age hunters of the far North.

Join us LIVE on Facebook on Thursday November 3 @ 11 am PST to learn more about these techniques and the findings from his research project. Click here to go to the Facebook event.
