Michael is an educator with a background in the natural sciences, an ideal combination for delivering interpretation of the Pleistocene to visitors coming into the Centre. With an interest in the ecology of Beringia, he emphasizes the connection between changing environments and subsequent animal migration through time. He believes that understanding the Yukon’s ice age history can foster an increased appreciation of the natural beauty of the Yukon today.
When he’s not teaching or interpreting, you can find Michael out and about enjoying the outdoors – be it camping, exploring, or disc golfing. Even during a rough day on the course, he still takes the time to soak in the landscapes surrounding him.
