Lessons and Activities

In addition to our in-house programs, we are happy to offer some materials intended for use in the classroom, as we understand that organized trips to the centre aren't always a viable option. If you want to incorporate some Yukon or Ice Age themed content into your class, look no further!

The information in these documents is designed for interpretive guides, parents, and teachers looking for resources to further engage students. Each program below has a corresponding grade range and correlates directly to a Yukon/BC curriculum ‘big idea’. The purpose of these resources is to bring a piece of our centre into your classrooms and homes to enrich learning on Yukon’s prehistory!

For each grade level, there is relevant background information, curricular outcomes and objectives, and a main learning-based activity. As the provided background information is quite basic in relation to the curriculum, it is at the user’s discretion to expand on a particular section if necessary.
